DESIGN

Here at MTA Turbochargers we use computer aided design (CAD) programming for components using Mastercam and Rhino Software. We utilise a HAAS SL20 4 Axis Lathe for precision repetitive machining and 5 axis machining centre for Billet Compressor wheel manufacturing. Standard bed lathes milling machine & cutting equipment are all housed at our workshop

WELDING

MIG Welding, TIG Welding including gas backed are catered for. Special metals like 713C & Cast Iron Repairs are common practice

CLEANING

Chemical Cleaning, Bead Blasting & Wash tanks are used for thorough preparation prior to repair & assembly

BALANCING & ASSEMBLY

Heins Balancing Equipment is used for all components & our replacement cartridges & turbochargers are VSR balanced in house for guaranteed reliability. A climate controlled dust extracted room allows a consistently clean environment

UPGRADES & CUSTOM REQUIRMENTS

MTA has vast experience in performance upgrades of all makes and models of turbochargers including wheel selection & housing sizes. We produce many redesigned models with internal modifications to increase reliability. In particular race applications for endurance events such as Bathurst 12HR Production Race & Targa Tasmania Event. Material & Design improvements in OEM style turbochargers is an area we can currently heavily involved in and this extends from passenger vehicles through to heavy industrial Mining
